Man, 63, Killed by Hit-and-Run Motorist in Pedestrian Accident
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Jan. 31, 2022) — A fatal Koreatown hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened Friday night on Third Street in Los Angeles.
A driver in a white Honda struck an unidentified 63-year-old man as he crossed Third Street, just east of Hobart Boulevard. The deadly collision happened about 10:45 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 28th, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The motorist continued driving without stopping to help the injured man.
Authorities today sought the public’s help to find a hit-and-run motorist responsible for fatally injuring a pedestrian the Koreatown area.
Paramedics responded and rushed the injured man to a hospital where he later died, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner will release his name after notification of his relatives.
There is a standing reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect. The reward is paid by the city of Los Angeles to help police solve a fatal hit and run.
