Mother, Infant Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash
LONG BEACH, Calif. (March 1, 2024) – A driver struck a woman and her infant daughter early Friday in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident at Eighth Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Long Beach.
The traffic accident occurred at around 12:30 a.m. on March 1st, according to NBC 4 News Los Angeles.
Police are now searching for witnesses as well as surveillance cameras in the area in order to identity and locate the suspect who fled.
The mother and her 4-month-old daughter were reportedly hit by the suspect in a black sedan with tinted windows while they were crossing the street.
The driver failed to stop and continued driving away from the crash scene.
Meanwhile, the woman and her baby were transported to a hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
Investigators continue to work on finding the suspect in the Long Beach pedestrian accident.
