Motorcyclist, Truck Crash on Highway 20
LUCERNE, Calif. (June 11, 2021) — A fatal Lucerne motorcycle crash on Highway 20 happened Friday just north of Pepperwood Grove.
The collision, between a truck and the grey 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle, happened about 12:50 p.m. on June 11th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reports the motorcycle rider wound up underneath the involved truck.
Motorcycle Rider Killed in Highway 20 Truck Accident
The report did not state what led up to the crash, but the location is a curving, two-way road with double yellow lanes.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded to help the injured rider, however, the person later died of their injuries. Additionally, it’s unknown if anyone else got hurt in the collision. A tow truck responded to remove at least one of the damaged vehicles from Highway 20.
Finally, the CHP is investigating the cause and liability for the fatal Lucerne motorcycle crash on Highway 20.
