2-Vehicle Crash on the 73 Toll Road at Laguna Canyon Road (SR-133)
LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. (April 25, 2022) — A major, two-vehicle rollover crash on the 73 Toll Road happened Monday morning near the Laguna Canyon Road (SR-133) off ramp.
The crash occurred about 9:30 a.m. on April 25th on the southbound side of State Route 73, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a silver BMW 325 sedan and a black 2015 Toyota Tundra pickup truck collided due to unknown circumstances. The car suffered major front-end damage in the collision and wound up on the side of the freeway. The pickup had major rear-end and rollover damage.
Dispatch operators noted there was a male lying in the roadway with closed eyes. Others were picking up debris in traffic lanes.
Paramedics responded to help those injured in the 73 Toll Road crash, but there are no further details.
Meanwhile, CHP officers are investigating the cause of the crash and liability.
