3 Injured in Crash at El Sobrante Road, Vista del Lago
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (April 29, 2022) — A multi-vehicle crash at El Sobrante Road and Vista del Lago Drive left three people injured Friday just north of Lake Mathews.
The 3-vehicle crash occurred about 12:05 p.m. on April 29th at the intersection, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a red Nissan pickup truck and two cars collided due to unknown circumstances, police said.
Riverside County Fire Department responded to the crash scene and found two people trapped in their vehicles. The two men were “not responding,” according to the dispatch. They extricated both men and transported one to Riverside Community Hospital in critical condition. The second person was waiting to be airlifted to a trauma center.
Meanwhile, a third person had minor injuries, but it’s unknown if they were taken to a hospital or not.
CHP officers closed down a section of El Sobrante Road at the intersection due to the crash.
Finally, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
