Major Injury Collision on State Route Highway 99
NICOLAUS, Calif. (March 11, 2024) — A major injury crash happened Monday on southbound Highway 99, just south of Powerline Road in Nicolaus.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 3:20 a.m. on March 11th, in Sutter County and north of Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported airbags were deployed and hazard lights were on after the collision between a Tesla and a gray PT Cruiser on the highway. At least one of them also collided with an attenuator in the center divider of the highway.
Also, paramedics responded to transport at least one person to a hospital with major injuries, but there are no further details at this time, the report said.
Meanwhile, the case remains under investigation to determine liability for the crash on Highway 99 in Nicolaus.
