Semi-Truck Jackknifes, Hits Vehicles on Highway 120
MANTECA, Calif. (Aug. 2, 2022) — A Manteca truck accident on Highway 120 near Yosemite Avenue happened Tuesday morning when a red semi-truck jackknifed and collided with two other vehicles.
The multi-vehicle crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of State Route 120 about 5:49 a.m. on August 2nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported they issued a SigAlert due to the crash after the big rig truck struck a tow truck and van on the shoulder of the roadway. The two vehicles suffered major rear-end damage after being hit by the semi-truck.
Paramedics responded to treat those who were hurt in the collision, but there are no further details at this time.
Investigators are working on the case.
