Car Collides with Motorcyclist in Fatal Pauma Valley Crash
PAUMA VALLEY, Calif. (April 13, 2021) – Marcelo Pereira, 50, of El Cajon, died Saturday in a motorcycle crash on South Grade Road in Pauma Valley.
A driver heading westbound in a gray Lexus reportedly crossed the double yellow lines into oncoming traffic and struck an eastbound motorcycle driven by Marcelo Oliva Santos Pereira.
Meanwhile, the motorcyclist crashed and the rider fell off the vehicle. Furthermore, the El Cajon man suffered major injuries in the crash.
Motorcycle Rider Airlifted to Palomar Medical Center
Someone called 911 for police and paramedics who transported Marcelo Pereira by helicopter to Palomar Medical Center. Sadly, the motorcycle rider died at the hospital due to severe injuries. The San Diego Medical Examiner identified Marcelo Pereira was the man who died.
Also, investigators continue to review the facts and will determine fault for the Pauma Valley collision.
