Pedestrian Struck and Killed By Hit-And-Run Vehicle in Pomona
POMONA, Calif. (April 23, 2024) – Marco Banegas Perez, 44, of Ontario, died in a Pomona pedestrian accident involving a hit-and-run driver at Towne Avenue and Ninth Street.
Police responded to the Pomona intersection at about 1:35 a.m. on Sunday, April 21st and located the victim down in the northbound lanes of Towne Avenue, according to ABC 7 News and the Pomona Police Department. However, the driver involved had fled the scene without stopping to help him.
The Ontario man was identified as Marco Perez by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
At this time, there is no description of the suspect or vehicle involved, but authorities are working on the case and hoping to find some leads.
