Woman Killed, Man Hurt in Motorcycle Accident on PCH
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (Sept. 13, 2021) — Meghan Wautlet, 22, of Huntington Beach, died in a motorcycle crash on Pacific Coast Highway
near the entrance to Bolsa Chica State Beach.
The collision happened about 8:17 p.m. on Sept. 11th between Warner Avenue and the state beach entrance, according to the Orange County Register.
The woman riding on the motorcycle suffered major injuries and died at the scene. The man driving the bike was seriously injured and taken to a hospital for further treatment.
Authorities closed down both directions of PCH due to the crash.
Witnesses reported the motorcycle was allegedly speeding and driving recklessly as it traveled south on Pacific Coast Highway.
It reportedly crashed into a vehicle that made a U-turn just south of Warner Avenue.
Meanwhile, investigators seek to determine liability for the deadly crash.
