3-Vehicle Car Accident on State Route 59 in Merced
MERCED, Calif. (March 20, 2024) — Two people were injured in a Merced crash on Los Banos Highway or State Route 59 at East Sandy Mush Road.
The multi-vehicle crash occurred at around 12:07 p.m. on March 20th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, a white Toyota Camry and a black car were involved in the crash.
The driver of the pickup truck was injured when the vehicle overturned and the driver of the Toyota Camry was trapped in their car.
Paramedics responded to the scene to help those injured, but it’s unknown if anyone was hospitalized at this time.
Tow trucks from Pete’s Autobody and Freitas Auto Wreckers came to remove two of the vehicles due to damage from the accident.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Merced crash on Highway 59.
