14 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision in South LA
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, Calif. (March 29, 2024) — Roughly 14 people were hurt Thursday afternoon in a crash involving a Metro bus on West 39th Street in Leimert Park.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred in front of 3524 West 39th Street at around 3:40 p.m. on March 28th, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The other drivers involved included a cargo van, a minivan with major driver’s side damage, an overturned SUV, and a sedan with major front-end damage.
There were passengers aboard the Metro bus, but it’s unknown how many of them were among the injured at this time.
Paramedics responded and located three people with moderate injuries and six with minor injuries from the vehicles involved. They transported nine people to the hospital and treated five others for injuries at the scene, but those people declined transport to the hospital.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Metro bus crash on 39th Street.
