3-Vehicle , Major Injury Crash Tehachapi Willow Springs Road
MOJAVE, Calif. (June 28, 2022) — A Mojave crash on Tehachapi Willow Springs Road near 100th Street West occurred Tuesday morning between a car and two pickup trucks.
The 3-vehicle collision happened about 6:48 a.m. on June 28th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a grey Acura TL sedan, a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck collided due to unknown circumstances.
A power pole and powerline reportedly crashed down onto the bed of the Toyota pickup truck, police said. A male reportedly got out of the vehicle following the collision, but it’s unknown if the person suffered injuries. The Toyota pickup had major front-end damage from the collision.
Meanwhile, both the Chevrolet pickup and the Acura sedan also suffered major damage in the collision.
Paramedics with the Kern County Fire Department responded to help those hurt and airlifted at least one person with major injuries to a hospital.
The report did not mention how many people in total suffered injuries from the crash.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault.
