Deadly Rollover Crash on Highway 1 in Moss Landing
MOSS LANDING, Calif. (Feb. 15, 2022) — A fatal crash in Moss Landing on Cabrillo Highway 1 also known as Salinas Road happened Tuesday morning between several vehicles.
The 8 a.m. crash happened on Feb. 15th, on the northbound State Route 1 at Jetty Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported three vehicles collided and one of them overturned. The drivers involved were a Utility truck, a Dodge Durango SUV and a silver Toyota Camry.
A telephone pole was severed in the crash and it went through the Ford truck as it overturned, the report said.
Meanwhile, one person became trapped in the vehicle.
Paramedics responded to the scene to help those involved, but at least one person died at the scene.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the crash.
