Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Car Accident
San Diego, Calif. (March 19, 2024) — A motorcycle rider was seriously injured Monday morning in a car accident at Ivy Street and 33rd Street in the South Park area of San Diego.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 11:15 a.m. on March 18th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a 35-year-old man was traveling westbound on Ivy Street on his 2023 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he collided with a southbound car, the Times of San Diego reports. The 2017 Kia Forte hit the motorcyclist at the intersection and the rider suffered serious injuries.
Paramedics responded and rushed the injured man to a hospital for treatment of major fractures to his arm and a leg, the report said.
The San Diego Police Department is heading up the investigation to determine fault for the motorcycle accident on Ivy Street.
The case remains under investigation.
