Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Car Accident
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Feb. 19, 2024) — A 44-year-old man riding a motorcycle was injured Monday in a collision with a pickup truck on Sixth Avenue in the Hillcrest area of San Diego.
The crash happened at around 6:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 19th in front of 3800 Sixth Ave., according to the San Diego Police Department.
A 31-year-old man driving a 2018 Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling northbound on Sixth Avenue, while the motorcyclist was heading southbound, the Times of San Diego reports.
The truck driver reportedly made a left-hand turn towards a parking garage and moved into the path of the oncoming motorcycle rider. The motorcyclist was unable to avoid crashing into the truck and sustained multiple injuries.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded and rushed the motorcyclist to a hospital for treatment of several fractures from the accident.
