Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crash at Vista Way and Emerald Drive
VISTA, Calif. (May 9, 2022) — A motorcycle accident at West Vista Way and Emerald Drive happened Sunday morning in Vista, San Diego County.
The collision occurred about 11:15 a.m. on May 8th, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
A motorcyclist reportedly crashed into a car while driving in Vista. The motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Emerald Drive when a westbound Hyundai Santa Fe crossed West Vista Way and the two vehicles collided.
The man who was riding the motorcycle suffered serious injuries in the crash.
Paramedics with the Vista Fire Department responded and transported him by ambulance to a hospital.
They took him to Palomar Medical Center where he underwent surgery for his injuries. Meanwhile, the driver in the car did not report any injuries.
It’s unknown if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the motorcycle accident on Vista Way.
The Vista Traffic Division is heading up the investigation.
