Major Injury Motorcycle Crash on Marsh Creek Road
BRENTWOOD, Calif. (April 20, 2022) — A motorcycle versus SUV crash happened Wednesday on Marsh Creek Road near the entrance to the Round Valley Regional Preserve Park in Brentwood.
The 2-vehicle collision occurred about 11:40 a.m. on April 20th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a red or gold sport bike and a white Subaru Outback collided due to unknown circumstances at the Brentwood intersection. Police did not say what led up to the Brentwood motorcycle accident.
The motorcyclist suffered major injuries in the collision. The Contra Costa County Fire Department requested a helicopter to airlift the injured rider to a hospital.
A tow truck removed the bike and Subaru from Marsh Creek Road after the crash. Later, the roadway reopened to traffic about 12:31 p.m.
Investigators are working on the cause of the crash and liability.
