2 Injured in RV Crash on SR-18 in Lucerne Valley
LUCERNE VALLEY, Calif. (Oct. 4, 2021) — A motorhome crash on State Route 18 left two people critically injured Monday morning in Lucerne Valley.
The crash happened about 9:24 am, on October 4, near the Mitsubishi Cement Plant, according to Victor Valley News and the California Highway Patrol.
A brown recreational vehicle occupied by two people overturned into a ravine. It landed back on its wheels after it overturned.
Motorhome Crash State Route 18
Both occupants remained inside the RV when it rolled over. One of them complained of severe back pain.
San Bernardino County Firefighters responded and called for two helicopters. The helicopters landed at the Lucerne middle school.
Meanwhile, firefighters needed assistance carrying the two patients from the ravine up to the roadway.
Investigators seek to determine the cause of the accident.
