Minor Injury Crash on Highway 1 in Carmel by the Sea
CARMEL BY THE SEA, Calif. (Oct. 6, 2022) — A multi-vehicle car accident happened Thursday morning on Highway 1 near Ocean Avenue in Carmel by the Sea.
The collision occurred in southbound lanes about 12:16 a.m. on Oct. 6th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
A driver in a gray Dodge Ram pickup truck pulling a trailer reportedly crashed into a gray Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. Two other vehicles were involved, but there are no further details. The driver of one of the pickup trucks told 911 operators they were unable to safely move to the shoulder due to heavy traffic on the highway.
Paramedics responded to help those who had complaints of minor injuries.
Meanwhile, at least one of the pickup trucks required a tow truck to remove it from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash in Carmel-by-the-Sea.
