3 Injured in Crash on Highway 154 at Edison Street
SANTA YNEZ VALLEY, Calif. (May 18, 2022) — A multi-vehicle crash happened Tuesday afternoon on Highway 154 near Edison Street in the Santa Ynez Valley.
The collision occurred about 3 p.m. on May 17th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Three people were injured in the 3-vehicle collision, police said. It’s unknown what led up to the collision at this time.
Paramedics with the Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to the scene to treat the injured including one person with minor injuries, one with moderate injuries and a third who had major injuries. A county helicopter responded to the scene to airlift the third person to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
Also, the crash led to the temporary closure of Highway 154.
The California Highway Patrol and the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office were both at the crash scene.
Finally, the crash remains under investigation.
