 Multi-Vehicle Crash Highway 269, Avenal Cutoff Road in Kings County

Minor Injury Car Accident at Avenal Intersection

AVENAL, Calif. (March 1, 2024) — A multi-vehicle crash happened Friday afternoon at Highway 269 also known as Lassen Avenue and Avenal Cutoff Road.

The collision occurred at around 2:23 p.m. on March 1st in Kings County, near the Greyhound Bus Station, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the drivers of a Mercedes Benz SUV, a Ford Explorer SUV and a third vehicle were involved in the collision.

Paramedics responded from CAL Fire Kings County to help those involved in the collision. There was a child in the Mercedes SUV, but it’s unknown if they were hurt. At least one person had minor injuries from the collision.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Highway 269 in Avenal.
