2 Separate Crashes in Valley Center Intersection
VALLEY CENTER, Calif. (April 11, 2024) — A driver fled a crash on Valley Center Road at Mirar De Valle Road Thursday afternoon involving multiple vehicles.
There were two separate collisions occurred starting at 1:38 p.m. with a T-bone crash between a silver Toyota Camry sedan and a blue Mazda CX9 SUV, the California Highway Patrol reported.
CHP officials reported the two vehicles collided due to unknown circumstances at the intersection, followed by a second collision involving a white car and a suspect who fled the scene.
There are no traffic lights at the three-way intersection, but there is a stop sign for traffic entering Valley Center Road from Mirar De Valle Road.
Paramedics responded to help at least one person with minor injuries from one of the collisions.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles and investigators are working to determine fault for each of the separate collisions.
