Big Rig Truck, Hyundai Crash on I-605 Freeway in Norwalk
NORWALK, Calif. (Jan. 18, 2022) — A Norwalk crash on the Interstate 605 Freeway between a car and a semi-truck happened Tuesday near Firestone Boulevard.
The crash happened about 11:40 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the I-605 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials report a gold Hyundai Genesis and a big rig truck collided in the HOV lane of the freeway due to unknown circumstances.
The Hyundai suffered major left-side damage in the crash.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to assist anyone hurt in the collision.
The truck pulled over on the right shoulder and a white Tesla also stopped in the HOV lane following the crash.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash.
Meanwhile, a tow truck responded to remove the damaged Hyundai from the crash scene on the Interstate 605 freeway.
