Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving Semi-Truck on I-605 Freeway
NORWALK, Calif. (Nov. 29, 2022) — A multi-vehicle Norwalk crash involving a semi-truck happened Tuesday morning on the Interstate 605 Freeway near Firestone Boulevard.
The collision occurred in the southbound lanes about 10:36 a.m. on Nov. 29th, just south of the Florence on ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Apparently, the semi-truck allegedly swerved to the left quickly and collided with the other motorists. CHP officials reported roughly four vehicles are involved including the truck, a white Acura, a small yellow car and a gray Honda Accord sedan. The Acura was facing the wrong way in the slow lane after the collision.
It’s unknown at this time what lead up to the collision blocking several lanes of the freeway.
Paramedics with the Downey and Los Angeles fire departments responded to help those injured in the crash. They helped at least one person trapped in a vehicle. Additionally, it’s unknown if they transported anyone to a hospital.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the Acura due to left wheel damage and the Honda Accord.
Investigators are working on the determining the cause of the Norwalk truck crash on the 605 Freeway.
