
OAKLAND, Calif. (March 3, 2023) — A two-vehicle Oakland crash happened Friday afternoon on the Interstate 580 Freeway, just west of the Harrison Street off ramp.
The traffic accident occurred about 2 p.m. on March 3rd in Oakland, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the Oakland crash was in the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes of the 580 Freeway. The drivers of a silver Jeep Cherokee and a gray Honda Pilot were involved. The Jeep had major front-end damage from the collision and was towed from the scene.
Meanwhile, a vehicle also sideswiped the police vehicle that responded to the crash scene.
Paramedics with the Oakland Fire Department responded to help those injured, but injuries were considered non-life threatening at this time. It’s unknown if anyone was hospitalized.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Oakland crash on the 580 Freeway.
