Subaru Hits Motorcyclist on the Interstate 580 Freeway
OAKLAND, Calif. (Sept. 13, 2022) — An Oakland motorcycle accident on the Interstate 580 Freeway happened Tuesday morning near the connector to the eastbound state Route 24.
The two-vehicle crash occurred in the westbound lanes of the I-580 about 9:31 a.m. on Sept. 13th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials report a driver in a silver Subaru sedan hit the motorcycle rider in the fast lane of the freeway due to unknown circumstances. The rider went down in the No. 1 lane and a nurse who was in the area came to assist the person. Meanwhile, paramedics responded due to minor injuries from the crash.
A tow truck removed the motorcycle from the crash scene.
