Pedestrian Critically Injured in Accident on Struck Avenue
ORANGE, Calif. (April 11, 2022) — An Orange pedestrian accident at Struck Avenue and Batavia Street left a man critically injured.
The collision occurred about 6:48 a.m. on April 7th, according to a Facebook post by the Orange Police Department.
A man driving a Toyota pickup truck was traveling east on Struck Avenue. He turned north at Batavia Street and struck a man walking east in the crosswalk.
The pedestrian suffered major injuries in the Orange collision. Paramedics responded and transported him by ambulance to a local hospital in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the driver stopped his pickup truck near Katella and Batavia. Investigators do not suspect alcohol or drugs as a factor for the driver.
Finally, the Orange Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the collision.
Authorities closed down all lanes of Batavia Street Struck to Katella for about three hours to conduct the investigation.
