Major Injury Crash on Highway 99 in the Orland Area
ORLAND, Calif. (March 8, 2022) — A major-injury Orland car accident happened Tuesday morning on Highway 99 at Wyo Avenue.
The collision occurred about 5:29 a.m. on March 8th at the Orland intersection, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported one of the vehicles overturned onto its side on the bridge and the other went off the roadway and through a guardrail into the creek bed below the Stony Creek Bridge. The collision happened next to Orland Sand & Gravel Corporation.
It’s unknown what led up to the two-vehicle collision at this time. Paramedics responded to the scene to help those involved and located at least one person with major injuries. The CHP report did not mention how many people were hurt in the crash.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the Orland accident on Highway 99.
