Man, Woman Killed in Car Accident on Arlington Avenue
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (March 29, 2024) — Oscar Santos Farela, 26, is one of two people who died Thursday in a crash on Arlington Avenue in the Jefferson Park area of Los Angeles.
The collision occurred at around 11:50 a.m. at Arlington Avenue and West 29th Street, according to KTLA 5 News.
The victim was one of three people riding in a black BMW traveling southbound on Arlington Avenue when the car drove through a red light.
The vehicle went on to collide with several parked vehicles and Oscar Santos Farela and an unidentified woman were found deceased in the BMW, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Meanwhile, a third person from the BMW exited the car and tried to flee, but bystanders were able to stop the suspect. Police arrested the person following the accident.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner’s office identified Oscar Santos Farela, 26, but the name of the woman has not been released.
