Major Injury Collision on State Route 118 in Oxnard
VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 29, 2024) — A major injury car accident happened Thursday afternoon on the 118 Freeway at Vineyard Avenue in Oxnard.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on the westbound State Route 118 at around 12:17 p.m. on Feb. 29th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a gold SUV and a gray sedan were involved in a collision due to unknown circumstances. An elderly woman from one of the vehicles was injured and transported to a hospital.
Meanwhile, both vehicles were stopped near the center divider and at least one of them required a tow truck to remove it from the freeway.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Oxnard accident on the 118 Freeway.
