Woman Arrested on DUI Charges
Man Killed in Crash on Highway 20
CLEAR LAKE, Calif. (January 18, 2022) – Police arrested Patricia Martha Murphy, 31, of Lucerne, on suspicion of DUI after a fatal crash on Highway 20 in Lucerne on Sunday night.
According to California Highway Patrol the woman was driving a 2012 Volkswagen westbound on Highway 20 when it crashed into a parked Ram 5500 pickup truck.
The deadly crash happened at about 11:55 p.m. on January 16th near Lake Street, according to the Press Democrat.

CHP officials say the driver allegedly made an unsafe turn and drifted onto the right prior to hitting the pickup.
Meanwhile, a 30-year-old man riding in the Volkswagen as a passenger died in the collision. Police have not released the victim’s name at this time.
Paramedics transported Murphy by ambulance to Sutter Lakeside Hospital in Lakeport. Doctors treated her for minor injuries prior to her arrest on suspicion of drunk driving.
The CHP is heading up the investigation into the collision.
