
Woman, 32, Struck by Pickup Truck on Columbia Street in ‘Little Italy’
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (April 14, 2023) — A 32-year-old woman was injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Columbia Street and West Hawthorne Street in the Little Italy area of San Diego.
The traffic accident occurred around 6:15 a.m. on April 13th, according to the Times of San Diego.
The woman was in a crosswalk when a driver in a gray 4-door Nissan Frontier pickup truck struck her as its driver turned left onto Columbia Street from West Hawthorne Street, the news report said.
The San Diego Police Department stated the male driving the pickup truck continued driving without stopping to help the injured woman.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded and transported the injured woman to a hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
