Man, 34, Seriously Injured in Otay Mesa Crash
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (May 6, 2024) — A pedestrian was injured in a car accident Friday night on Picador Boulevard in the Otay Mesa West area of San Diego.
The collision occurred at around 7:49 p.m. on May 3rd, according to the Times of San Diego.
A 25-year-old man driving a 2017 Ram pickup truck reportedly turned out of a parking lot on the west side of Picador Boulevard as a 34-year-old man was crossing the street.
The truck struck the victim as he was walking in a westbound direction across Picador Boulevard.
Paramedics responded and rushed the injured man to UC San Diego Hospital where he was treated for a fractured pelvis and other non-life threatening injuries.
San Diego Police Department investigators determined that alcohol was not a factor n the collision.
The SDPD’s Traffic Division is heading up the investigation to determine fault for the pedestrian accident on Picador Boulevard. Witnesses are asked to call 858-495-7800 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
