Multi-Vehicle Fatal Crash on State Route Highway 70 at C Road
MOHAWK VISTA, Calif. (June 8, 2021) — One person is dead and several others injured after a fatal crash on Highway 70 in the Mohawk Vista area.
The collision happened about 8:42 a.m. on June 8th near C Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver in a white Ford F-250 pickup truck crashed and overturned about 50 feet off the roadway, the CHP said.
Authorities called for two ambulances and a helicopter to transport at least three injured people to hospitals. By 9:15 a.m., one person was confirmed dead due to the collision, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.
Two trucks responded to the scene of the crash, but the report does not indicate how many vehicles were involved.
Investigators seek to determine the cause of the crash and liablity.
