Multi-Vehicle Crash on Redwood Highway; Car Crashes into Creek
HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (June 11, 2021) — A Redwood Highway 101 crash happened Friday afternoon in Humboldt County in the Garberville area.
The collision involved multiple vehicles including a semi-truck and a red sedan that went roughly 50 feet over the side into a creek, according to the California Highway Patrol. Also, a white Dodge pickup truck suffered major front-end damage and blocked the northbound traffic lanes.
CHP officers seek to determine what led up to the minor-injury collision, just south of the Avenue of the Giants Southern Entrance.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded to treat the injured and tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles. Police did not mention how many people were injured in the 3-vehicle collision. Also, the age and gender of the victims is unknown at this time.
The cause of the Redwood Highway 101 crash and liability remain under investigation by the CHP.
