Bloomington Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident in Fontana
FONTANA, Calif. (March 14, 2022) — Ricardo Canela Jr., 29, of Bloomington, died Friday night in a Fontana pedestrian accident on the Interstate 10 Freeway, just east of Sierra Avenue.
The crash happened about 11:35 p.m. on Friday, March 11th on the eastbound side of the freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver struck the pedestrian due to unknown circumstances.
Ricardo Canela Jr. suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:50 p.m.
An investigation into liability for the fatal Fontana pedestrian accident is underway.
