2-Vehicle Crash on I-580 Freeway in Richmond
RICHMOND, Calif. (May 8, 2024) — A minor injury Richmond car accident happened Wednesday afternoon on the eastbound I-580 Freeway, just west of Marina Bay Parkway.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 1:50 p.m. on May 8th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a gold Volkswagen Jetta and a blue sedan were blocking the fast lane of the 580 Freeway after the traffic accident.
The smaller car also collided into the center divider of the freeway.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded and treated one person for minor complaints of pain, but it’s unknown if the person was taken to a hospital.
Tow trucks removed the from the roadway due to all-over crash damage.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Richmond accident on the 580 Freeway.
