Major Injury Crash in Richmond on the I-580 Freeway
RICHMOND, Calif. (June 7, 2022) — A multi-vehicle crash on the westbound Interstate 580 Freeway happened Tuesday morning in Richmond.
The 3-vehicle collision occurred about 7:50 a.m. on June 7th, just east of the Harbour Way off ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a black Chevrolet Corvette, a black Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck and a white box truck collided due to unknown circumstances. The vehicles blocked the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes of the freeway and debris was in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes, police said.
Paramedics responded and located one person suffering from major injuries. They transported the person to a hospital for further treatment. It’s unknown if others suffered injuries in the wreck.
Meanwhile, tow trucks responded and removed all three vehicles due to damage from the Richmond crash on the 580 Freeway.
