Beaumont Rollover Collision on SR-79/Beaumont Avenue
BEAUMONT, Calif. (Feb. 15, 2022) — Several people were injured in a rollover crash on Beaumont Avenue also known as State Route 79 in the Beaumont area.
The crash happened about 7:37 a.m. on Feb. 15th, just north of the Lamb Canyon Landfill according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported two vehicles collided due to unknown circumstances. A Toyota Camry occupied by at least four people overturned and nearly all of them were ejected. The vehicle went off the roadway and over the side of a rocky embankment. Paramedics responded and treated three or four people for injuries. One person was stuck in the vehicle upon their arrival.
Police closed down the No. 2 lane due to the Beaumont Avenue crash and emergency response.
It’s unknown at this time what led up to the collision or if the other motorist involved was a large yellow dump truck that was stopped nearby. Two tow trucks responded to remove the damaged vehicles.
