South Dakota Man Killed in Riverside County Collision
INDIO, Calif. (May 28, 2021) — Ronald Cook, 38, of Sisseton, SD, died in an Indio a crash involving three vehicles on Avenue 42 and Jackson street.
The fatal crash happened about 7 a.m. on Thursday, May 27th, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
Ronald Cook was reportedly driving a small car on the wrong side of Avenue 42nd. The driver crashed into a pick-up truck and subsequently that vehicle collided with a vehicle behind it.
2 Transported to Hospital
Paramedics transferred Ronald Cook to a local hospital, but unfortunately he later died of his injuries there. Meanwhile, a passenger in his vehicle suffered serious injuries and was treated at the hospital as well.
The drivers of the other vehicles suffered undisclosed, non-life threatening injuries.
Police closed down the eastbound lanes of Avenue 42 near Jackson Street to investigate the cause of the crash.
