Bus and Nissan Collide on Highway 99 in Sacramento
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Sept. 9, 2021) — A Sacramento bus accident happened Thursday on Highway 99 near the Mack Road East on ramp.
The white coach bus collided with a maroon Nissan in the carpool lane, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch report.
The CHP dispatch reported the Sacramento bus accident at 7:23 a.m. on Sept. 9th on the highway.
The Sacramento Fire Department responded to help those hurt in the crash, but there are no further details. The CHP dispatch report did not mention what led up to the collision between the two motorists.
Meanwhile, the vehicles also blocked the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the freeway, the CHP said.
A tow truck came to remove the car, but it’s unknown if the bus is drivable.
Investigators seek to determine the cause of the crash and liability.
