Sammy Ray Hartzog Killed in Redding Motorcycle Accident
Redding, Calif. (April 27, 2021) –Sammy Ray Hartzog, 59, of Millville, died in a motorcycle versus car accident at Railroad and Eugenia avenues.
The fatal crash happened about 4:20 p.m. on April 21st, according to the California Highway Patrol and Action News Now.
The man riding a motorcycle collided with a dark-colored sedan at the Redding intersection, police said.
Authorities stated that prior to the collision the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Railroad Avenue. Meanwhile, the driver of a 2016 Toyota Avalon was about to exit the Owens Pharmacy parking lot at 2950 Eugenia Avenue. The motorcyclist apparently lost control and collided with the Toyota.

Paramedics arrived at the scene to help Sammy Ray Hartzog who was down in the roadway. Sadly, he suffered major injuries and died at the scene of the Redding crash.
Meanwhile, there were no other reported injuries following the collision.
The Shasta County Coroner’s Office identified the victim. Meanwhile, investigators with the Redding Police Department will determine fault.
