2-Vehicle Crash on I-5 Freeway in Sorrento Valley, San Diego
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (April 11, 2022) — A two-vehicle San Diego crash on the northbound Interstate 5 Freeway happened Monday morning at Sorrento Valley Boulevard.
The collision occurred about 6:56 a.m. on April 11th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A witness named Jayne told 911 operators that a driver in a gray sedan reportedly lost control and crashed into a gray pickup truck. The truck’s tire blew out and it struck the center divider. The airbags in both vehicles deployed during the collision. Meanwhile, paramedics responded to check on those involved.
Both vehicles required a tow truck to remove them from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the San Diego crash in the Sorrento Valley area.
