Motorcycle Versus Car Crash on Interstate 5 Freeway in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Sept. 28, 2022) — A motorcycle rider suffered injuries in a car accident on the Interstate 5 Freeway, just north of the I-805 Freeway bypass and south of the Torrey Preserve.
The collision occurred in the southbound lanes about 8:44 a.m. on Sept. 28th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver in a tan Hyundai Elantra reportedly collided with the motorcycle rider due to unknown circumstances. The rider was ejected off the bike and landed in the No. 2 lane of the freeway. Paramedics responded to help the injured motorcyclist, but there are no further details.
Meanwhile, a tow truck came to remove the bike from the roadway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
