Motorcycle Rider Hurt in Crash on I-5 Freeway in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (July 2, 2021) — A San Diego motorcycle crash at the on ramp to the Interstate 5 Freeway at Marine View Avenue happened on Friday morning.
The San Diego collision happened about 12:15 p.m. on July 2nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A maroon Toyota Scion and a motorcycle collided due to unknown reasons, police said. The motorcycle crashed underneath a vehicle. Meanwhile, a bus loaded with Marines stopped nearby. Several of them got out to help the injured rider. They also worked to lift the vehicle off the injured rider.
CHP Responds to San Diego Collision
Paramedics rushed to the San Diego crash site where rider was treated for undisclosed injuries. The on ramp was completely shut down due to the collision.
Meanwhile, the roadway was blocked by vehicles and emergency responders. The report does not mention the age and or gender of the injured rider.
There is no further information about the San Diego accident at Marine View Avenue and the I-5 Freeway at this time. However, the CHP is investigating the cause of the crash and liability.
