Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (April 13, 2021) — A San Diego pedestrian accident Sunday on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard resulted in the death of a woman.
The fatal collision happened about 10:01 p.m. on Sunday, April 11th, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner.
The report stated the victim is between 30 and 50 years old, but she has not been identified.
Woman Struck by Street Sweeping Truck
The woman was struck by a street sweeping truck while crossing Clairemont Mesa Boulevard near Overland Avenue.
Additionally, the Toyota Tundra pickup truck had a green light and was traveling westbound towards Overland on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard.
The driver told authorities they saw the woman in the roadway, but was unable to avoid hitting her.
Someone called 911 for police and paramedics. Despite efforts by emergency medical personnel, the woman was pronounced at the scene.
