Yucaipa Man, 46, Killed in Car Accident on I-10 Freeway
BEAUMONT, Calif. (March 1, 2024) — Sandy Marks, 46, of Yucaipa, died and a another man was injured Thursday in a rollover crash on Interstate 10 in Beaumont.
The crash happened just before 4:00 p.m. on the I-10 west of Highland Springs Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol and KESQ News.
The victim was riding as a passenger in an Infiniti FX35 that was traveling eastbound on the I-10 Freeway when it crashed and overturned at the Highland Springs Avenue off ramp.
Both the 19-year-old driver and Sandy Marks were ejected from the vehicle. Paramedics responded and transported both men to a hospital where the Yucaipa man died. The Riverside County Sheriff Coroner later identified the victim on its website.
It’s unknown if the driver is still at the hospital and his condition was not released.
Traffic investigators from the California Highway Patrol San Gorgonio station are working to determine what led to the crash.
