Pedestrian Injured at Walnut Ave, Mission Boulevard
FREMONT, Calif. (Jan.27, 2022) – A Fremont pedestrian accident happened Thursday morning when a person was struck by a school bus at the Mission Boulevard and Walnut Avenue.
The collision happened about 7:40 a.m. on Jan. 27th, according to KRON News.
The school bus transporting students struck the person due to unknown circumstances as they walked at the intersection, according to the Fremont Police Department.
The pedestrian reported minor complaints of pain following the collision, police said. Police did not release the person’s age, gender or identity. Also, it’s unknown if anyone aboard the bus reported injuries.
The Fremont intersection has marked crosswalks for pedestrians on three sides as well as permissive left-hand turn lights.
There are no further details available at this time.
Meanwhile, the cause and liability for the Fremont pedestrian accident remains under investigation.
