Truck Crashes into Little Cow Creek in Bella Vista Area
REDDING, Calif. (June 17, 2021) — A Shasta County truck crash left a 25-year-old man is dead off Highway 299 Thursday when a pickup veered off the roadway into Little Cow Creek just east of Redding.
The fatal crash happened about 12 p.m. on June 17th, just east of Sugar Pine Camp Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One person was seen floating in the water following the collision. Also, multiple drivers got out of their vehicles to help. The red 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck wound up on its side in the creek, police said.

Cal Fire Shasta firefighters and paramedics arrived at the traffic collision where an eastbound truck crashed due to unknown circumstances in the area of Ingot, the CHP said. There was an extended debris field in the roadway to the south of the truck on the other side of the embankment that spanned about 30 yards, police said.
The report stated there may be up to three people in the truck at the time of the crash.
One lane was closed down by the California Department of Transportation as police investigate the accident.
